Digital Marketing Associate

 

Crawford Strategy is a full-service marketing and public relations agency in Greenville, South Carolina. We are seeking a Digital Marketing Associate to join our growing Digital team. The Digital Marketing Associate will assist in managing and optimizing client accounts across multiple digital channels. This is a hands-on position that requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of digital advertising platforms, and an ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data. If you have a passion for online marketing, a working knowledge of SEO/SEM, and hands-on experience driving organic and paid search campaigns, then this position is for you.

Reports to the Digital Marketing Strategist.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs keyword research, analyzes webpage content and makes recommendations to improve on-page SEO.
  • Assists with the execution of white-hat link building campaigns.
  • Assists in the development and execution of content marketing campaigns.
  • Tracks keyword ranking improvements and organic traffic growth for client accounts.
  • Creates, manages and optimizes SEM campaigns, including text, display and video ads.
  • Creates, manages and optimizes paid social media campaigns.
  • Monitors KPIs and contributes to monthly/quarterly client reports.
  • Copywrites for webpages, blogs, newsletters, etc.

 Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree in marketing, digital media, communications, website design or related field
  • Excellent grammar and copywriting skills
  • Certifications in Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Inbound Marketing and SEO are a plus
  • Experience in the following platforms: Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads Manager/Business Manager, SEO PowerSuite, Raven Tools, SEOmoz or similar platform
  • Foundational knowledge of SEO Best Practices, Inbound Marketing, and Content Marketing.
  • Detail oriented with a passion for all things digital marketing
  • Desire to work in a heavily data-driven environment

Marketing and Public Relations Intern

 

Qualifications

Internships are available to college juniors and seniors, as well as recent college graduates. Candidates must have very strong academic credentials and writing skills. Clarity and organization in writing is equally as important as creativity. Candidates must be able to think independently and perform without close supervision. Candidates must have exceptionally high standards for their work product, and understand what is required to produce work that paying clients would value. The objective of this internship is to be challenging and rewarding while focusing on developing relevant business skills.

Description of Position

Marketing/Public Relations Intern responsibilities and activities typically include:

  • Providing administrative and on-site support for various Client projects and events
  • Performing market research for client projects
  • Implementing social media campaigns
  • Assisting with the development and updating of media lists and other databases
  • Assisting with the drafting of press materials, researching target audiences, coordinating interviews, and media monitoring
  • Assisting with the development of marketing strategies and techniques, drafting marketing proposals, and executing marketing campaigns
  • Proofreading and improving written work product

Compensation/Credit

Crawford Strategy will work with colleges and universities to structure the internship to qualify for academic credit. If college credit is received, typically a presentation to the Company staff is made at the end of the internship. If college credit is not received, then the intern will be compensated for work based on the current hourly minimum wage.

Length of Internships

Internships for which college credit is received last one semester. Other internships typically last 12 to 16 weeks as mutually agreed upon by the intern and the Company. The internship will not exceed 40 hours per week but will be determined on a case-by-case basis with the internship participant.

Digital Marketing Intern

 

The Crawford Strategy Digital Marketing Intern will work directly with our digital strategy team and gain  real world, hands-on experience planning, optimizing, managing and reporting on the success of digital marketing campaigns.

The Digital Marketing intern will work one-on-one with a dedicated mentor and supervisor while performing tasks, such as:

  • Leveraging knowledge of SEO and keyword research to perform analyses of webpage content and make recommendations for improved optimization
  • Leveraging knowledge of paid advertising platforms, such as AdWords, to assist in the setup and development of keywords, text ads, and display ads for new campaigns
  • Leveraging copywriting skills to write well-optimized blog posts that engage readers, while maintaining the brand’s tone and voice
  • Leveraging knowledge of social media platforms to assist in the setup and execution of paid social media advertising campaigns
  • Leveraging knowledge of data analytics to monitor and report on the successes of digital marketing campaigns and/or identify opportunities for improvement

  • Social Media Advertising (Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter)

The ideal candidate is a junior or senior in college who is detail oriented, driven, a strong copywriter, a team player and who has the ability to multi-task.  Applicants will be asked to answer a short essay question as part of the evaluation process.
